Is there anything more intolerable in life than listening to “vain babblings”? Paul worded it accurately in 1 Timothy 6:20 when he said, “Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge....” I’m sure you’ve sat in on intellectual discussions about religious controversies and have been turned off by the pompous opinions of those who love to hear themselves speak. It makes me want to examine my speech and the words that I say so that the world won’t be turned off by my intellectual insights and sources cited; but, that they will see Christ living in me by the way I live and things that I say. God grant me the ability to keep my mouth shut sometimes and let His light shine through me. It’s not about what I know, it’s who I know.

Slow to Speak
James 1: 19- 20 “My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.”
