Apply for This Job Youth and Children's Minister Jerseyville First Baptist Jerseyville, IL Posted: August 11, 2018     Job Information: Our Youth and Children's Minister will be a disciple of Jesus Christ, demonstrating the reality of that relationship in his/her walk and testimony. They will be a spirit led leader in the congregation who conducts themselves above reproach. They will be responsible to spiritually lead the student ministries so that the students intentionally follow Jesus, and will assist the parents to engage in the discipleship journey. Will be responsible for the development and oversight of the FBC Children and Youth Ministries. This will be accomplished through weekly meeting, activities, discipleship groups, conferences and summer camps. Job Requirements: The Youth and Children's Ministries Director will: Plan, organize, and lead a scripture based youth group service weekly. Know and use biblical scripture in teachings. Identify with and communicate effectively with students and shepherd the youth of the church. Reach out to students and the youth of the community to plant the seed of Jesus Christ. Oversee the Children's Church program by gathering leaders and curriculum. Substitute in Youth or Children's Sunday school classes as needed. Assist the Vacation Bible School Team to execute the program. Plan and execute quarterly special events for Fusion Student Ministry. This can implemented with the Student Youth Board. Participate and promote summer camp and get prior approval for days out of the office. Assist Kid's Night leaders as needed. Plan a children's quarterly event. Promote and carryout Youth Mission projects Assist in maintaining social media and church websites on student related activities. Adhere to the bylaws and employee policies of JFBC.
