Apply for This Job Ministry Assistant for Connections Shepherd of the Hills UMC Sun City West, AZ Posted: February 08, 2024     Job Information: MINISTRY ASSISTANT FOR CONNECTION: Retirement community church seeks pastoral assistant to engage the congregation in meaningful ministry; and to plan and implement a welcome process that will connect, track, engage, and assimilate visitors into the church. Sundays, Mondays, and some Saturdays are required. Other hours somewhat flexible to support activities at various times of day.. Although insurance and retirement benefits are not included, a stipend of $500 per month is provided for purchasing insurance. Job includes PTO, paid holidays. Responsibilities Engage parishioners in meaningful ministry opportunities through invitation and relationships. Plan and implement a welcome process for newcomers that will help them connect, engage, and find a place within the church community. Plan must include tracking from first visit through successful involvement. Recruit and oversee volunteers and build a volunteer database.
