Apply for This Job Worship Arts Pastor Calvary Baptist Church South Bend, IN Posted: April 16, 2021     Job Information: Job Description: This full-time position is a salaried position consisting of 50 hours per week at Calvary Baptist Church, South Bend, Indiana. Purpose: The Worship Arts Director is responsible for the worship ministry at Calvary Baptist Church. The Director supervises, equips and encourages all vocalists, instrumentalists, and technician volunteers. The Director coordinates the worship elements of each Sunday service with the Senior Pastor and all teams necessary to fulfill the purpose of offering a creative, blended, multi-generational, God-honoring worship experience. Primary responsibilities: The Worship Arts Director will: Choose songs, music and media for Sunday worship. Schedule, lead and direct all volunteer teams needed to provide a blended worship experience. Accept responsibility for administrative duties necessary to maximize efficiency. Work closely with all worship participants in creating a fresh encounter with God. Handle, in a timely manner, all requests and processes necessary from those desiring to be part of the worship team. Communicate weekly with the Senior Pastor and regularly with the Council of Elders regarding the mission, vision and objectives of the worship ministry. Accept responsibility for the worship arts budget. Be proficient in a variety of software. Other duties as seen to by the Pastor. Administrative responsibilities: The Worship Arts Director will: Prepare and maintain cbcconnect.org. Maintain coordination between the office and church leadership teams. Schedule and train the First Impressions team. Schedule and facilitate appointments for all CBC contracted worship related vendors. Perform other administrative duties as necessary. Qualifications: The Worship Arts Director must: Demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Meet the qualifications of growth and godliness as listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Agree with the Statement of Faith and Philosophy of Ministry of Calvary Baptist Church. Demonstrate abilities in music, leadership, communication and administration. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with other pastoral and support staff.
