Director of Faith Formation & Youth Minister Matthew 13 Catholic Collaborative Walpole, MA Posted: August 08, 2017     Job Information: The Matthew 13 Catholic Collaborative comprised of St. Mary Parish, East Walpole and Blessed Sacrament Parish and School of Walpole are seeking an Assistant Director of Faith Formation and Youth Minister. The Assistant Director of Faith Formation and Youth Minister under the supervision of the Director of Faith Formation in conjunction with the Pastor, will oversee the catechetical and faith formation of the young people of the parish. The Assistant Director will foster personal and spiritual growth of each young person by creating a community of disciples and empowering young people to act as Disciples of Christ in our world today engaging them to participate in the life, and mission of our Church. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate the Middle School Faith Formation (Grades 6-8) and Confirmation Preparation Programs of the collaborative including all classes, retreats, and other events. Provide opportunities and coordinate service and enrichment for all middle and high school students. Organize and schedule all events, classes and special programs with our faith formation coordinators. Effectively communicate with parents, parish and staff about upcoming events through the website, bulletin, email, and flocknote. Assist the Director of Faith Formation as needed with classes, sacraments, adult programs, and summer fun enrichment. Organize, schedule, recruit, train and practice youth lectors in preparation for the 9:30am family mass each week. Maintain a strong personal witness supported by a vibrant individual and communal prayer life, participate regularly in the sacraments, and attend an annual spiritual retreat. Establish, coordinate and implement a comprehensive and unified vision and structure for ministry to youth, young adults and families incorporating the newly established youth room. organize activities/events, both spiritual and social, that will allow the youth of our parishes to experience parish community life outside of formal faith formation classes and service opportunities. develop a youth group to promote and assist with these activities and develop youth leaders and recruit adults to assist the youth group. Maintain contact with the Archdiocesan Office of Faith Formation of Youth and Young Adults, vocations office, attend meetings and participate in appropriate events with the youth. (DC March for Life, Rallies, Service Trips, LIFT etc.) Recruit, supervise, and direct all professional and/or volunteer staff members working within the Youth Ministry (ensuring that all staff and volunteers are aware of and in compliance with the Archdiocesan Policy for protecting God's Children). Participate in the development and implementation of the Pastoral Plan for the Collaborative. In addition, as time allows, the Assistant Director of Faith Formation and Youth Minister will carry out other ministerial tasks as directed by the Pastor.     Position Information: Position Title: Asst.
