We are a bible-based church founded on the word of God, with the objective of spreading the name of Jesus Christ by reaching out to the community through fellowship, service, teaching and worship. We have a position for one who is responding to the call of leading the church in the vibrant worship of God. You will be responsible for the growth, operation and performance of the worship, music and tech ministries of Portland Community Church, working directly with the lead pastor. The qualified candidate will have musical skills, experience with multimedia presentation tools and software, and will have skills in recruiting and leading groups of volunteers to do sound, lighting, video and camera operation. You値l also create materials for worship services, organize and lead weekly rehearsals and assist with organizing and leading special worship services such as Good Friday, Easter, Christmas and others. RESPONSIBILITIES Recruitment and development of participants in the worship ministry. You値l find and encourage volunteer musicians, technical staff and others to assist in worship and special services and performances. You値l organize and lead weekly rehearsals, and oversee hosts, ushers, connections, communion and baptism teams. You値l manage the worship ministry budget, help with other ministries in the church, and be a team player in working with other church staff.
