Colonial Baptist Church Dayville, CT Posted: February 06, 2016
Job Information:
Colonial Baptist Church is a conservative, independent Baptist church meeting in the northeastern Connecticut town of Brooklyn. Due to concerns for aging families members, our pastor and his wife, who served us faithfully for the last 20 years, will be relocating to the mid west.
We currently have 16 members with approximately 30 in attendance on Sunday mornings. We meet rent free in a public building for our Sunday service and Wednesday youth group meetings. We are seeking a biblically qualified, bi-vocational pastor to lead us.
While our church does own land on which we hoped to build a church in an adjacent town, zoning and other governmental rulings prevented us from moving forward in this direction. We own no other building or property. Our church is in sound financial condition, without a mortgage or other obligation.
Our small size and long history together have many benefits. We appreciate the sense of family we share in being one body united in Christ. At the same time, knowing the difficulties being few in number present, and having a desire to reach more people in the surrounding area for Christ, we seek a leader with vision, energy, and passion to help us thrive as a church serving our Lord with all of our heart.
