Part-Time Contemporary Worship Band Leader
St. Barnabas United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Contemporary Worship Band Leader who will direct and further develop the music and media elements of Encounter, our 10:50 am Sunday morning contemporary worship service. The Contemporary Worship Leader will creatively plan and implement worship services that help people experience God and empower people to live out the gospel throughout the week. The Worship Leader will lead, develop, and grow our volunteer praise band. The Worship Leader also serves alongside a dedicated, gifted, creative, and collaborative staff.
Applicants should have a growing and dynamic faith in Christ, a love for ministry in and beyond the Church, the hunger to equip others for ministry in the places they live, and a passion for engaging the hearts and minds of the next generation with the hope and love of Christ. Previous worship leading experience and the ability to play guitar is a plus, but not required. Compensation will depend on previous experience and schooling.
