Apply for This Job Pastor First Christian Church Wellington, TX Posted: October 04, 2025     Job Information: FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH-Wellington, Texas Pastor Position Description Reports to: Elders and Deacons Position Status: Full Time Purpose: The pastor's role in the Body of Christ is to lead the congregation through ministries of preaching, teaching, and servanthood. Utilizing skills of pastoral care and administrative leadership. Knowledge and Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of the Bible Ability to show patience, perseverance and fiscal responsibility Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Ability to show compassion for the concerns of others Ability to relate and minister to adults and youth through various techniques Ability to provide leadership to church family Ability to lead and manage the daily operations of the church Work Schedule: The position of pastor requires flexibility in hours available for work including evenings, weekends, and holidays The pastor should be available to preach and teach at weekly scheduled services, events. Keep regular office hours that are sufficient to meet the needs of the congregation and potential members. Responsibilities: Provide spiritual, pastoral, outreach, servant, and administrative leadership to congregation Interpret biblical scripture to congregation Motivate adults and youth through example, teaching and preaching Promote unity within the church and manage conflict when necessary Provide counseling to the congregation and prospects Prepare weekly biblically based sermons, preach and conduct worship services Teach Sunday evening Bible Study Participate in Wednesday night Fellowship/Youth Perform necessary clerical duties Officiate at special events (weddings, baptisms, funerals, etc.), attend youth camp Participate in evangelism by preaching at assisted living, giving invitations at worship services, special events, visitation and outreach Represent congregation on ministerial alliance and community services Be involved in community, represent the church at local and school events Attend, provide written and oral report monthly at Elders/Deacons meeting Work with various committees within church when necessary May be responsible for other duties as needed Compensation: Salary: commensurate with experience, Potential raises available Vacation: 2 weeks which includes 2 Sundays Nice 4br/2ba parsonage provided with water, phone and internet Insurance allowance, Cell phone allowance, Travel reimbursement Contact: Email cover letter, resume, and sermon video to: wtxfcc.info@gmail.com For further information, contact Tim Webb @ 806-277-0346     Position Information: Position Title: Pastor Time: Full Time Category: Family Pastor Salary: Denomination: Christian Church Worship Style: Blended Church Size: less than 100   Contact Information: Organization Name: First Christian Church Address1: 700 Haskell Street Address2: P.O.
