Apply for This Job Lead Pastor Eastmont Baptist Church East Wenatchee, WA Posted: January 09, 2025     Job Information: Job Description: Lead Pastor at Eastmont Baptist Church Location: East Wenatchee, Washington Position Overview: The Lead Pastor is a man of established and true character who is qualified to preach and teach the Word of God and care for and lead the church, as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. The Lead Pastor must be willing to perform his duties in accordance with the Constitution, Bylaws and Policies of this church. The Lead Pastor leads a congregationally governed church body in discerning and clarifying vision, then gives leadership for implementing that vision through the various ministries of the church. To do this, the Lead Pastor must cultivate a team approach with staff members and volunteers. About Eastmont Baptist Church: Eastmont Baptist Church is a vibrant and welcoming community of believers dedicated to following Jesus Christ and sharing His love with others. Located in picturesque Wenatchee Valley, the church offers a unique blend of spiritual growth, community engagement and abundant recreational opportunities. Salary Range: $80,000 to $95,000 Overview of Responsibilities & Duties: Vision Discernment and Mission Implementation 1. Developing and articulating the church's vision, including engaging in strategic planning for church outreach, growth, and health. 2. Providing mission-focused direction for church ministry programs, teams, etc. based on church finances. Worship Services 1. Preaching based on Biblical truth 2. Overseeing worship services 3. Administration of ordinances 4. Officiating at weddings and funerals Equipping the Saints for Ministry 1. Teaching (including Bible studies). 2. Identifying, training, and mentoring other leaders within the church. 3. Serving as a model of servant leadership in the church and the community. 4. Preparing and delivering evangelistic and discipleship training (providing training so that other followers of Jesus also will make disciples). 5. Conducting premarital counseling based on the Biblical design of marriage and providing other Bible-based pastoral counseling for members. 6. Providing pastoral care for members and enabling pastoral care by others within the church by training and encouraging members to care for each other with the love of Christ. Administrative 1. Supervising church staff, including planning and leading staff meetings, conducting and documenting regular performance reviews, and documenting any performance-related interactions or concerns. 2. Overseeing office administration and general church operations. 3. Providing conflict management leadership within the church. 4. Participating in meetings with the Deacon body and other committees. Continuing Education 1. Regularly seeking to enhance theological understanding through self-directed learning and formal continuing education, training and conferences. 2. Keeping informed on ministry best practices. 3. Staying up to date with current events of the Northwest Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.
