Antioch Church Frankfort, IN Posted: August 24, 2023
Job Information:
Our Church: Antioch Church exists to be an instrument of God that spreads the hope, joy, and life found only in Jesus Christ. We seek to do this primarily through an emphasis on Bible-centered preaching and teaching, gospel-centered discipleship and community, and generous support for missions and local outreach. We are affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (find the SOF here) and minister from a reformed-Baptist perspective. Our church is nestled in the beautiful farmland of central Indiana, about forty miles northwest of Indianapolis. We are strategically located south of Frankfort on State Road 39, making us easily accessible to other nearby towns and cities. Our new facility includes a gym, full kitchen, youth rooms, multiple Sunday School rooms, large foyer with seating area, and a sanctuary that can comfortably seat 200+. The building sits on a five-acre lot, with a pond, firepit, playground, and plenty of space for community activities. Our church is poised to grow, and key to that growth will be an influx of younger families. Our current weekly attendance is ~80, primarily consisting of people over the age of fifty.
Our Philosophy of Youth Ministry: The primary aim of youth ministry in the local church is to grow young believers into mature Christian men and women who love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. This is best achieved through a model of ministry that seeks to do at least three things: 1) integrate youth ministry into the larger life and worship of the local church; 2) assist Christian parents to be the primary disciplers in their children's lives; and 3) provide youth-centric events, teachings, and fellowship that complement the ministry of parenting. Because of this, in addition to being gifted with youth, a youth minister must be someone who is dedicated to the health of the local church and to helping parents raise children to the glory of God.
