Director of Family Life
John Knox Presbyterian Church desires to be a loving place to raise a family to know and love Jesus Christ. The spiritual formation of children, youth, and their parents is vital to our fulfilling our vision statement.
John Knox Presbyterian Church: JKPC is a medium sized, theologically reformed, evangelical gospel centered church located in North Canton, Ohio. We are family focused and desire to equip our families to live a gospel centered life, raise their children to love and serve Jesus Christ, and share the good news with their friends and families. We desire to serve other families in our community who are seeking God through meaningful and authentic relationships. Our long-standing traditional service serves families who have been raised in a mainline denomination setting. Our newly redesigned contemporary service serves the younger generations with praise and worship music.

Essential Responsibilities
A. Family in-reach begins with building authentic relationships with our current families and equipping them to grow in their relationship with Jesus and to share the good news with their friends and family. Build authentic relationships with current families through worship, fellowship, and community activities. Maintain and build effective discipleship opportunities through small groups, classes, and online teachings. Encourage parents to volunteer in church partnerships and local outreach opportunities. Oversee all children and youth activities and special events such as summer camp, VBS, and Easter and Christmas programs. Build relationships with church members by encouraging and training them to participate in children and youth programs.
B. Family Outreach
Reach out and build relationships with families who have children/youth in our community. Encourage and equip our current families to reach out and share the good news with their friends and families (family night, Bible club, sports ministry). Offer community workshops that speak to their parenting and spiritual needs (raising children in post Christendom, mental health and me, power of purpose) and educational needs. Build relationships with the Interfaith pre-school families. Build relationships with local schools who have families in need

Job Title: Director of Family Life Hours 40 weekly
Pay: 45,000-52,000
