Apply for This Job Lead Pastor Hope Community Church Sherbrooke, QC Posted: June 25, 2022     Job Information: Hope Community Church (HCC) located in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada is actively seeking the full-time Lead Pastor who God has been preparing for us. This individual will work in conjunction with the pastoral and leadership teams, as we further our mission to be Jesus's hands and feet in our local community and beyond. HCC is located in the city of Sherbrooke, in the beautiful Eastern Townships region, about two hours from Montreal. While Quebec is recognized as a post-Christian society, we have seen the Lord work faithfully through HCC for more than half a century. We are a non-denominational, evangelical church, with a congregation numbering around 250. Our services are held in English, but the French language is a major part of everyday life in the surrounding culture. Our vision, as followers of Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit, is to be upward-focused, continually growing in maturity and obedience to our Lord. In addition, we desire to be outward-focused, serving our neighbors and earning a reputation throughout the Eastern Townships community for demonstrating the love of God in practical ways. The Lead Pastor will be Spirit-led to Quebec, inspired and aptly equipped to lead us into greater love and service for God. The life and character of this individual will be God-honouring, full of fruit and integrity, reflecting a passionate, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The Lead Pastor will demonstrate a life dependent upon the Bible and prayer, will be gifted in preaching, leadership and have a heart for mentoring, discipleship and pastoral care. With warmth and sincerity, this individual will be able to connect with people from all age groups and different cultural backgrounds. Together with the people of HCC, and by God's grace, the Lead Pastor will strengthen our team and help us to expand the Kingdom of God.
