Apply for This Job Senior Minister First Congregational Church of Royal Oak, Michigan Royal Oak, MI Posted: September 25, 2022     Job Information: The members of First Congregational Church of Royal Oak are seeking a full-time Minister who will join us on a journey to discover the meaning of the Gospel as it relates to our daily lives. This person may not have all the answers to life's theological, philosophical and moral questions but knows the important questions to ask. An individual of high character and integrity, equipped to help lead in ministry, Christian education, community outreach, and pastoral care programs that embrace shared values of faith, freedom and fellowship. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES -- Organizes, coordinates and conducts the worship services of the Church. -- Presents well-organized and inspiring sermons that are relevant and meaningfully connect to the congregation. -- Administers and conducts the traditional religious rites of the Church, i.e., baptisms, communion, weddings, funerals and the reception of new members. -- Assisted by a team of lay Pastoral Care Ministers (PCMs), provides supportive pastoral care, extending a warm and compassionate attitude toward all members and friends of the Church. -- Offers spiritual guidance to those who are faced with personal difficulties. -- Helps create awareness and interest in our Church and promotes new membership. -- Provides effective direction to the leaders of the youth and to youth programs. -- Makes meaningful suggestions and contributions to all aspects of Christian education in the life of the the Church. -- Conducts covenant classes for the youth and coordinates new membership classes. -- Supports Christian outreach by encouraging all members of the congregation to participate in activities addressing social concerns. -- Engages fully in the life of the faith community by attending a variety of church sponsored programs and events, building relationships with members from all age groups. -- Meets regularly with the Deacons, the Church Council, and all other lay leaders of FCC, to provide strong, creative leadership and direction. -- Supervises and engages in team building of the FCC staff, endeavoring to maintain a positive attitude and a harmonious relationship among all employees.     Position Information: Position Title: Senior Minister Time: Full Time Category: Senior Pastor Salary: 60,000 -70,000 Denomination: Congregational Worship Style: Traditional Church Size: 100 - 250   Contact Information: Organization Name: First Congregational Church of Royal Oak, Michigan Address1: 1314 Northwood Blvd. Address2: City: Royal Oak State or Province: MI ZIP Code: 48073 Country: USA Map this Organization: Map Contact Email: Contact this Organization   Pastorless Churches				Post a Job
