Immanuel is seeking a full-time, high-level Teaching Pastor for our Armstrong Mill location. This hire would also work alongside the Lead Pastor and weekend planning team to develop creative ideas for weekend services, plan the annual teaching schedule and series', as well as collaborating with the Ministries team on the development of IBC Community Groups. We are looking for someone who is an exceptional communicator, teachable, versed in the Bible, captivating, humble and people-oriented person who will work to advance the mission of Immanuel to lead people to Jesus and equip disciples in their faith.
The ideal candidate for this position will provide leadership, spiritual direction, and management for the Armstrong Mill campus. We are looking for a self-motivated leader with infectious enthusiasm to advance the kingdom of Jesus through excellent weekend gatherings, meaningful serving opportunities, and life-giving community groups. They will be highly motivated and driven to connect people to the body of Christ no matter where they are on their spiritual journey.
The Campus Teaching Pastor Will: Champion the vision, mission, values, and DNA of Immanuel at the campus level. Teach regularly at all Sunday morning gatherings. Develop, lead, and manage campus leadership team including staff and key volunteer leaders. Participate in the Teaching Pastor meetings and teaching team meetings. Provide overall leadership of weekend services including oversight of the worship experience, children's ministry, hospitality ministry, and general operations of the campus. Oversee the efforts to connect attendees/members of this campus into the deeper life of the church including Growth Track, Community Groups, and serving opportunities. Oversee the development of volunteer teams. Create and manage the campus budget and annual goals. Provide pastoral care for the campus. Collaborate regularly with Central Ministries Teams in the development and growth of on campus and off campus Community Groups.
Preferred candidates include a bachelor's degree, experience in managing staff and/or volunteer teams, and at least 2-3 years of experience in church ministry. A seminary degree or further theological training is a great bonus. This leader needs to be committed and personally vested in the well-being and success of the vision and mission of Immanuel Baptist Church.
