About the Role: The Assistant Director of Worship & Arts will wear a number of largely interrelated hats given our context. There are several teams housed within our Worship & Arts ministry, including Musicians, Audio/Video Tech, Aesthetic/Graphic Arts, Intercessors, and even a small group of Sunday morning ‘Handlers'. Additionally, there are other needs within Worship Arts not limited to a specific team; think tasks (administrative and otherwise) associated with Communion, Baptism, music development and production, volunteer development and care, and of course Sunday worship leadership. This person will have a hand in many of these teams, and be assigned certain areas of direct oversight. He/She will primarily work with our Worship Arts Director in planning and leading Sunday worship services. They will also assist in shepherding the teams falling under the purview of Worship Arts – Obviously, this role will require someone who has a positive disposition and high level of adaptability, as he/she will be serving multiple constituents, and specific needs do change regularly. We are looking for a healthy mix of executing strengths (i.e. "I love to get things done"), relational intelligence (i.e. "I love interacting with people and helping them feel valued") and spiritual inclusivity (i.e. "I want to help all kinds of people approach God's throne of grace"). The actual bullet points for this role are: (1) Planning and cultivating of worship environment, alongside Matt Glass: We want our worship services to be God-honoring and meaningful to the cautious, curious, and committed. This person would work in tandem with Matt Glass to create a worship atmosphere that honors that aim. (2) Leading worship in a corporate setting: This person must be equipped and willing to lead our Sunday morning worship team through music on a part time basis (starting with 25% and slowly increasing to 50% of Sundays).
