The North Shore Unitarian Church is searching for an innovative, creative Director of Engagement to help our congregation move faith formation in a bold new direction!
Purpose: To develop, resource, and manage a comprehensive, strategic, and stimulating All-Ages Program to engage our faith community, consistent with the principles of Unitarian Universalism as well as the mission, values, and purposes of the North Shore Unitarian Church.
We want to give those who work with our community the ability to be visionary and fearless, to empower us to innovate, bringing wisdom and energy to this role. Love and connection are key. Title: Director of Engagement Start date: August 3, 2021 Location: West Vancouver, BC, Canada. Salary range: $44,000 to $51,000, commensurate with experience Benefits: disability insurance, life insurance, extended health and dental coverage, vacation, pension after 2 years of fulltime employment Status: full time permanent, year-round position with flexible hours, including some on-site office hours Reports to: Minister Professional Development: Annual professional development budget supplied for Liberal Religious Educators Association (LREDA) membership, conference and workshop attendance, participation in local professional groups, professional books, etc.
About NSUC: North Shore Unitarian Church is a suburban, Welcoming, healthy, social-justice oriented, fiscally solvent congregation of 160 members, 35 children, and 20 youth, with a history of robust support for family programming. Our religious educator of 40 years is retiring and this is our opportunity to take family ministry in a bold, new direction! The congregation's vision is to engage in All-Ages Sunday morning services followed by various break-out activities designed to appeal to a range of abilities, ages, and interests.
