Apply for This Job Worship Pastor Valley Christian Center Fresno, CA Posted: November 25, 2020     Job Information: Job Description: SUMMARY The worship leader will work closely with the Senior pastor in a Holy Spirit led culture to lead a congregation in contemporary praise and worship.NOTE: (No applications will be considered without links to video/audio presentations of worship leader) SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Recruiting and training local talent for worship teams for weekly Sunday worship services and other ministry departments. Choosing relevant contemporary songs that engage and lift up the congregation and support the reading and preaching of God's Word and the specifics of the Pastors message. Modeling and leading heartfelt worship in an invitational style – that draws people in, encourages participation, and points people to Jesus. Being a spiritual role model to all worship team members and discipling them in living a holy and sanctified life for Jesus. Recruiting, auditioning, teaching, and training musicians in the church to serve the congregation as a team with musical skill and humility for all church services and events. (English, Spanish, Youth, Events, etc.) Leading weekly rehearsals that serve a dual purpose: (A) preparation for Sunday and (B) cultivation of Christ-centered community. Overseeing all Audio/Sound teams for all services and all rooms where A/V equipment is present. (Training sound technicians, camera persons, visual display team etc.) Serving as a member of the ministry team and demonstrating a commitment to Valley Christian Center and its mission. This individual is expected to: (A) be gifted in leading congregational worship (B) possess leadership and organizational skills, and (C) Be comfortable operating in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. EMPLOYMENT STATUS: The position is available in either a full time or part time position. This depends on personal abilities, and ministry experience.
