Apply for This Job Worship Leader Lakeport Wesleyan Church Lakeport, MI Posted: September 15, 2020     Job Information: Job Description Worship Leader / Worship Coordinator Purpose: To help our church develop servant-leaders through our worship ministries. Responsible to: The Worship Leader / Worship Coordinator shall be directly responsible to the senior pastor and the local board of administration. Reports: WL/WC will report each week to the senior pastor, as requested by the Local Board of Administration, and annually to the Local Church Conference. This position will be evaluated annually. Associations: The WL/WC will manage a ministry team of adults and youth to lead, plan, and implement Sunday morning worship and coordinate such with the senior pastor. The WL/WC will organize the current musicians and worship team singers as well as give oversight to the sound / tech crew. Time Expected: This position is for 10 hours a week comprising of preparation and organizing, practice times and Sunday morning worship leading in the 9:30 and 11:00 am worship services. Renumeration: This will be a paid position. Compensation to be negotiated. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES TEAM MENTALITY: The WL/WC will work with the senior pastor and musicians and worship teams to bring a unified spirit to our worship, its planning and direction. PERSONAL GROWTH: The WL/WC will take special attention to their own spiritual growth personally, and take time to find training / help in the area of worship leading as necessary. Funds from the music budget, with prior approval from the Senior Pastor may be used for this purpose. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Worship Leading: The Coordinator or their designee will lead worship in Sunday morning worship services and as requested for special services. Worship Planning: The Coordinator, with the coordination, consultation and permission of the Senior Pastor, will plan what songs will be sung in worship services, when they will be sung etc. along with other worship elements.
