Heritage Baptist Church Ashburn, VA Posted: May 06, 2020
Heritage Baptist Church is looking for our next pastor. Our founding pastor has announced his retirement. He will stay engaged until his successor arrives.
Heritage is an independent Baptist church. We are looking for a Baptist minister who can build on the foundation in place and lead us to reach many for Christ both at home and abroad.
God has positioned Heritage Baptist Church (HBC) in the community of Ashburn, VA, to make an eternal difference in the lives of the people here and the surrounding communities. HBC started from humble beginnings in a public school in Sterling, VA, approximately 32 years ago by a group of believers who wanted to see God's will done and a church built for His glory. All through these years, we have seen His hand of guidance and blessing. Today, through God's grace and provision, HBC is completely debt free and owns four acres of land; an historic chapel; three modular classrooms; and, a building that houses a large sanctuary, a fellowship hall, and the church offices.
HBC offers numerous ministries to its members and conducts a free Vacation Bible School every summer for the community. Through Faith Promise Giving, HBC supports over 65 missionaries. We have two full- time positions (Senior Pastor and Assistant/Youth Pastor) and two part-time support positions (Administrative Assistant and Custodian). HBC offers Sunday School classes for all ages, a nursery, Sunday morning worship services, and choir. HBC also offers Wednesday night Bible study and prayer; AWANA club; teen programs; and, Word of Life programs to include summer camp. HBC averages 105 attendees for Sunday morning worship. We have four deacons and a congregation that volunteers and serves in various capacities. HBC has been blessed to see many saved and baptized over its 32 years.
HBC is located in Ashburn, VA, a suburb of Washington, D.C. Ashburn has grown rapidly over the last 32 years. It has a population of approximately 50,000 people with a median age of 35. The median household income is $124K and the median property value is $479K. Ashburn is located in Loudoun County and is known for its top public schools; access to biking and hiking trails; and, its many high-tech businesses.
