Apply for This Job Director of Musical Arts New Life Fellowship Arlington, TX Posted: April 27, 2020     Job Information: The Director of Musical Arts has the responsibility for serving as the primary worship leader and provide leadership to all areas of the Musical Arts department to supporting all the worship experiences. Develop and implement a vision for the ministry area: Develop, plan and execute the overall vision and strategy for the direction of the music department at New Life Fellowship. Focus on planning, developing, executing, and coordinating the music to coincide with the other creative elements for Worship Services. Manage Volunteer Teams: Serve as primary, but not necessarily exclusive worship leader. Coordinate the proper arrangement of special musical guests. Audition and select all vocalists to participate in worship services or church productions. Develop, train, recruit and mentor volunteers. Cultivate the necessary musical teams through weekly rehearsals to facilitate worship services. This includes teaching vocal parts and vocal techniques for selected material. Introduce and teach biblical principles of how and why we worship through music and song. Coordinate with musicians, media technicians, creative arts, and vocal teams for rehearsals and services. Manage the band and instrumentations to enhance the worship experience. Champion the culture of New Life Fellowship with all team members. Development of Best Practices and Processes: Coordinating appropriate selections of songs with the Worship and Arts ministry in order to direct and lead all worship services. Coordinate with Worship and Arts director for annual ministry budget; ensure appropriate fiscal responsibilities are adhered to and monitor expenses. Develop and maintain a standard operating process for recruiting, auditioning, mentoring, and for recurring programs and events. Develop aptitude in necessary software, apps, and more for planning and execution of worship services. Develop ongoing strategies for constant improvement for the excellence of the Sunday morning worship experience and other events. Continue personal education through various means (conferences, subscriptions, networking, etc.) of worship culture, growth and ministry.
