Recently I went on a mission trip to Rome, Italy. On one memorable day, Rome had won the national soccer championship. There was shouting and partying in the streets, as Rome had not won for several years. Yet, even though we could feel happy for the people of Rome, it really wasn’t OUR victory. Now that we belong to this wonderful family of God, we don’t have to feel like a spectator on the outer fringes of society. Remember the stories of the apostles and Moses? They’re part of our family now. Have you ever really stopped to think about the people that belong to this community with you? It all revolves around Jesus, the One who made it possible. It’s not by any merit of and through ourselves, it’s by the Grace of God manifest in the Son of God.

Ephesians 2:20 “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.”
