2 Corinthians 1:10-11 “He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.”

Talk about power in numbers! The next time the prayer list is in the bulletin, think about the names as people, not just names. Lift that person’s needs before God during your prayer time, and maybe do something radical like remember them in prayer everyday for a month and give them a call. These are not just strangers, they are our brothers and sisters and we’ll be spending eternity with them, why not pray for them now? Does their need make us feel vulnerable or uncomfortable? God help us to be His hand extended and willing to offer our time and our prayers.
