Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

There’s nothing like being in the mountains, away from all the hustle and bustle, the deadlines, the obligations and just being still before the Lord. Sometimes the silence can be deafening, especially when its been awhile or there is a barrier between you and the Lord. Psalm 46:10 admonishes us to “Be still, and know that I am God”. In our high tech society it’s easy to rely on computers, faxes and cell phones to determine our success. Strange thing, we didn’t pull a fast one on God by inventing these things. He knew that we still needed to quiet ourselves down and reaffirm who He is and everything else will fall into place. Maybe we need that quiet time even more than past generations, sometimes it becomes too long between times of silence and refocusing on God. Worship from a heart that has become still and is ready to be in is presence.
