A faithful worship leader magnifies the greatness of God in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit by skillfully combining God's Word with music, media, and the arts, thereby motivating the gathered church to proclaim the gospel, to cherish God's presence, and to live for God's glory.
Prepare the church to worship as a community on Sunday mornings by:
-preparing technology (songs for screen, accompanying videos, sound, etc.)
-make sure music is pulled-sheet music/chord charts/etc., make enough copies for musicians/choir
-scheduling worship team members/ praise team, etc. for service
-set up any necessary equipment
-Communicating with team members (sound/choir/musicians/tech crew)
-recruiting soloists/testimonies, etc.
-scheduling periodic worship team meetings/trainings
-spend time listening to new music
-properly plan the service by integrating with pastor's message
-participate in staff/pastoral planning meetings
-scheduling rehearsals for arranging music with worship team
-oversee any repairs/improvements on A/V
-order any necessary songs/music/videos for service
-proper planning special services-Christmas/Easter/etc.
-develop media to go along with pastors series/messages for service
-continually recruit and train new musicians/tech
-develop other music leaders
-promote participation in creativity through music
-facilitate the congregation's participation in authentic worship.
-actively participate in the discipleship strategies of the church
-attend leadership meetings as assigned/scheduled
-other duties as assigned by the pastor
