Otterbein Church is looking for an experienced self-motivated leader to oversee and lead our Youth Ministry (currently 100+ students) who has a passion for helping students in grades 6-12 and their families grow spiritually and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate will have: A personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Leadership skills with the ability to communicate vision and direction for the church's youth ministry. A love for preteens, teenagers and their families. A commitment to both youth evangelism and youth discipleship. A conviction that the home is the primary discipleship center for youth and that the church's role is to partner with parents in the spiritual formation of their children. A passion and skills for creative and culturally-informed teaching that recognizes God's sovereignty over the sacred and the secular. An ability to plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate worship, connection, growth and service experiences. A dedication to a "Large Group/Small Group" programming model. Experience in recruiting, developing, and overseeing adult and student volunteers.
