Job Description:
Canyon Lake Community Church is looking for a deeply rooted, growing and passionate follower of Jesus to help launch and then direct the brand new Canyon Lake Community Church Preschool and Child Development Center. Flowing out of our church's "Vision Day 2008" at which we dreamed, planned and prayed about God's will for our church in the coming 15 years; and in concert with our mission of strengthening families within our church body and reaching out to our surrounding community, CLCC is planning to launch a brand new Preschool and Child Development Center in August of 2010. We are looking for a uniquely qualified candidate to get in on the ground floor and play a major part in this exciting process of God's new work here at CLCC.
Much of the planning process has been completed already but there is still quite a bit to be done to prepare for the CA state licensing application, as well as curriculum planning, supply ordering, classroom decorating, marketing, staff hiring, etc. Once the school is launched, the role of the director is to oversee the general operations of CLCCPS including but not limited to: curriculum planning, programming, fiscal management, staff management and mentoring, working with parents, public relations and marketing, compliance with all state licensing requirements, as well as working the CLCCPS board and pastoral liaison.

«a zeal for creativity, innovation and progress-not satisfied with status quo mediocrity
«excellent customer service and people skills, detail oriented, hard working ability to multitask in fast paced environment, dependable and responsible.
«at least 15 units of college level Early Childhood Education courses, though a college degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is preferred.
«at least 4 years of experience in a child care center, with at least one year as lead teacher or supervising a childcare program.
