Job Description:
Trinity United Methodist Church is seeking a part time staff member with expertise in the area of Christian Education and Family ministries. This staff person will work with the Pastor and other staff to develop Christian Education opportunities for all ages, with a focus on children. This person will also work with the Pastor and other staff to cultivate fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities for the families of the church (family is defined in a variety of ways, from single persons to "traditional"). The ideal candidate will have a background in Christian educational theory, curriculum development, age appropriate learning skills, and the nurture of volunteers in the teaching ministry of the church. This staff person will be responsible for providing educational opportunities for our teachers, such as teacher training, and spiritual formation. The candidate will be knowledgeable in the areas of United Methodist theology and the polity of the Church. The candidate may be either ordained or lay. The position is part-time; salary and benefits are negotiable. A background check is required.
