Job Description:
CHILDREN'S CAMP DIRECTOR:
LOCATION: International locations such as Dominican Republic, Thailand or Eastern Europe
SALARY: Based on experience – To be determined
GENERAL
To provide leadership by developing, coordinating, and administering children's camp programs. To give overall leadership and vision to the staff and children. Responsible for all aspects of camp. Trains and supervises all staff. Organizes and schedules camp sessions. Establishes camp goals. Plans camp programs and monitors camp progress.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Several years camp staff experience, preferably in director, program director or children's director roles.
Strong leadership skills
At least 25 years of age
Exceptional communication ability.
Availability to work in International locations
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Experience with designing creative camp programs.
Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff and children.
Knowledge of techniques and resources for effective storytelling and programming.
Exhibits creative use of dramatic, artistic, and musical skills in presenting programs.
Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of children's programs and to make adjustments as necessary.
Ability to work with situations in a calm and professional manner.
Ability to select, train, and supervise staff.
Ability to make good judgments in personnel problems, health, and safety procedures, and crisis situations.
