Job Description:
Piano Accompanist needed for large church in Mooresville, NC. Duties to include... Accompany Chancel Choir and Service Choir. Regularly accompany hymns on piano (w/ Director of Music on organ) for two Sunday morning Traditional Style worship services SUNDAYS: 7:45 AM 9:15 AM & 10:30 AM Noon (approx.) TUESDAYS: 10:00 AM 11:00 AM Joyful Notes Rehearsal / Singing Engagements WEDNESDAYS: 7:30 9:00 PM Chancel Choir Rehearsal (weekly)
DUTIES: Accompany the choir anthem during the Sunday worship services, play instrumental solos for preludes or offertories, etc. Accompany soloists and groups as needed. Assist with additional choirs as determined by the Director of Music Be available upon request from the Director of Music for special services or events. Substitute for the Director of Music when needed. Annual Chancel Choir Retreat Friday (3.5 hours) Saturday (7 hours) in late Sept or early October Annual Advent Concert 1st Sunday of Advent 5:30 7:30 PM 6 Wednesday rehearsals/ year are 7 9 PM for Christmas and Easter Cantatas 2 Saturday Morning Dress Rehearsals 10-Noon (1 each prior to Christmas and Easter Cantata Sundays) Ash Wednesday Service Either Maundy Thursday or Good Friday Service (TBS) at 6:30PM 8:30 PM Extended Wednesday rehearsals with soloists/ensembles prior to their Sundays Funeral Services if Director of Music is unavailable Weddings (for additional fee) if Director of Music is unavailable Salary range (depending on experience and ability): $13,000 - $15,000
