Evangelical Free Church of Oakland, located in the foothills of the East Bay near Mills College, is looking for a part-time Church Office Administrator. The Church Office Administrator will provide a variety of clerical and ministry support services, organizing the activities and functions of the church office. The Office Administrator is an hourly position working two or more days (10-12 hours total) per week in the church office. This position will routinely report to the pastor. The Office Administrator will be the initial point of contact between the public and the church office on the phone, by email, and face to face. DUTIES:
Church bulletin, church calendars, church directory, church newsletter, annual report, office budget, mail, email, phones, visitors, office equipment, facility use rentals, office supplies, maintain office files, assist pastor/staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Punctual, reliable, professional, and detail oriented.
-Understands office organization and operations.
-Communicates clearly in English using good grammar, spelling, and vocabulary skills.
-Maintains confidentiality and utilizes discretion.
-Enthusiastic, independent, and works without direct supervision.
-Good at filing and record-keeping.
HARDWARE SKILLS:
Computers, Office Phones, Copier, Fax Machine, etc.
SOFTWARE SKILLS:
MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Publisher, MS Outlook, Firefox/Internet Explorer, etc.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
Office hours: flexible, 10-12 hours per week
Compensation: $12-$14 per hour depending on experience
