Augsburg Fortress is the publishing house of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. As the ministry of publishing for the ELCA, we are dedicated to providing top-quality Christian materials that communicate the Gospel, enhance faith, and enrich the life of the Church and the communities it serves. We now seek an experienced sales professional in the following role:
Congregational Sales Specialist Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Managing, developing and growing assigned church accounts by building relationships, selling products and services and providing excellent customer service by phone -Aggressively identifying client needs and new sales opportunities -Maintaining accurate documentations of sales, account progress and contacts -Attending events and leading webinars for congregational clients and church leaders to expand Augsburg Fortress’ presence in the marketplace -Providing support to internal and external team members Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree -Minimum 2+ years’ successful sales experience, preferably in outbound sales -Superior interpersonal and communication skills and a friendly, professional phone manner -Desire and drive to succeed, a high level of self-motivation and attention to detail -Computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
Knowledge of mainline Christian organizations and/or ELCA, organizational structures and mission a plus.
