Job Description:
First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)of Beaumont, Texas is looking for a Youth Minister who has a strong faith in Christ and a passion to lead our 11 active middle and high school youth to develop an authentic Christian spirituality, to serve God, and to lead them to develop friendships that reach outside themselves.
This is a part-time position that will require about 20-25 hours a week including Wednesday night, and weekends (Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday). The Youth Minister will develop a Bible study program, youth activities, take the youth to their camps in the summer and to youth rallies during the school year, and will plan and lead a mission trip each summer. Our church desires to incorporate our youth into our worship services and would like input from the youth director as we plan the services.
Our church is set on a tree lined 17 acres that incorporates a Meditation Walk and 30 foot Labyrinth. The Youth room has recently been remodelled and is ready for an active ministry once again.
