Job Description:
We are looking for a worship leader to lead both contemporary and traditional worship and to plan and facilitate dynamic weekly corporate worship celebrations and seasonal events at a congregation of approximately 1,000. The primary responsibilities of the position include: directing various choirs, vocal ensembles and worship teams; developing drama ministry and other Christian arts. Interested parties should possess five or more years of previous experience in a similar ministry setting. Knowledge and/or experience in computer and media technology is a plus. In addition, the candidate must have good administrative, leadership, and interpersonal skills. A bachelor's degree in music is required."
MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead Worship Planning Team.
2. Direct Music and Drama Teams.
3. Oversee Technical Support Teams.
4. Teach members the role of worship in the church through new member's class.
5. Develop annual strategies for outreach through music and drama events.
6. Develop and monitor annual budget in ministry area.
7. Assume additional duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Directly accountable to Senior Pastor. Works with Pastoral Staff to assure unity between "Worship and Celebration" ministries and other ministry programs of the church.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelors Degree in Music or related field, working on, or willing to work on Ordination requirements.
Affiliation: Willing to affiliate as a member of the Free Methodist Church (Membership at Pearce or in Genesis Conference if ordained)
Experience: Five years minimum experience in related field
