EXECUTIVE PASTOR – JUST EAST OF TORONTO – COMMUNITY CHURCH WITH LOCAL MISSIONS FOCUSThe Executive Pastor is a full time role reporting to the Senior Pastor of Carruthers Creek Community Church. The Executive Pastor enables the Senior Pastor to focus on teaching by translating the vision for C4 into implementation. The Executive Pastor is accountable for managing all of the ministry and operational staff, and operational functions, including business operations.
Essentially, this role calls for a spiritual and systems shepherd who has strong administrative, planning, people and operational skills and experience – in a smaller church, this is often the senior pastor – in this case, it would be everything except vision casting and primary teaching / preaching functions.
Reporting to this position are eight direct ministry or functional leaders with staff and ministries reporting to them; supporting it is an advisory group with portfolios including IT, HR, Financial, Facilities and special projects.
Ideal experience would be someone who has done all of this, and is willing to engage in and implement someone else’s vision. You must be a leader with proven experience in: staff management; coaching and teaching ministry leaders on leadership skills; team building, financial, business and administrative planning; creating and implementing new processes; communicating outcomes and new processes to others; knowledge of laws regarding employers, charitable organizations, and Revenue Canada. You must have excellent project planning and priority management skills.

Salary plus health benefits, RRSP, education allowance, four weeks vacation.
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 5 years in a church, at a comparable level of responsibility. Relevant formal education would be an asset.
