Job Description:
Historic and lively Northern California UCC church seeking a musician(or two) to love us and lead us while our current director is on an extended sabbatical.
Small inclusive church with an eclectic music ministry. Worship is mostly traditional, but has a lively blended feel. Music varies from classic, gospel, jazz ethnic/world music.
Position begins October 1, 2008 and goes through January 31, 2010, with the option to job share on music directors return.
1/3-1/2 time position (with possibility of job share)Salary negotiable DOE.
Duties Include:
Oversees music ministry
Direct choirs: adult, youth, and children's
Organist/pianist for worship and accompany choirs
Part of worship planning team
Beautiful instruments: 9 rank Whalley tracker organ (recently restored),; 1901 Steinway piano, 3 octaves Malmark handbells and choir chimes.

Paul's work includes arranging for groups like GLAD, Voices of Liberty, VoiceTrek, The Chicago based "Caroling Party" and Day of Discovery Singers. His arranging has appeared on recordings side by side with greats like Gene Puerling and David Maddux, and he has sung with Don Shelton, Bonnie Herman and Bob Bowker, among others.
