Mount Hermon Baptist Church is a 150-year-old, 1500-member congregation situated in a once-rural, now suburban setting just outside the city of Danville, Virginia (45,000 pop.) We are a strong missions-minded church, historically ranking high in our missions-giving and now greatly expanding our missions-going. Traditional in worship and conservative in theology, we long have been affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) as well as the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV). We are seeking an experienced, motivated, highly relational, full-time Minister of Education with a seminary degree. The candidate should possess good administrative and people skills as well as a heart for evangelism, discipleship and missions. This staff person would give primary leadership to all areas of education and outreach in the life of the church, also assisting the senior pastor administratively as well as with some aspects of the pastoral ministry.
