Assistant Director of Music /Director of College Ministry – Full-TimeFirst UMC is a well established and diverse 2500 member United Methodist congregation in Jonesboro, AR, experiencing great change as we seek to reach all generations. We are seeking a youthful, well-educated and experienced modern worship leader to oversee our two Sunday morning worship services and our newly established “Elevation” modern worship service. The position will be responsible for establishing and building a vital College Ministry reaching out to over 10,000 students at Arkansas State University as well as working closely with the musical aspects of the Youth Ministry of the church.
The qualified candidate will meet the following:
•An evangelical Christian with a desire to serve the Lord in the workplace and a heart’s desire for worship
•Bachelor’s Degree
•An accomplished musician, able to play the guitar or piano with high artistic and technical skills and spiritual sensitivity
•Strong Vocal skills
•Three years experience leading/participating in Modern Worship
•Ability to write charts and rehearse various bands
•Experience in Youth or College Ministry is preferred
•Knowledge of technical aspects of modern worship including audio and video
•A strong leader able to nurture relationships with laity and staff.
Salary is commensurate with experience.

This is the debut album by EXW friend Paul Langford. Paul is a Chicago based singer, arranger, keyboardist, producer and conductor. Paul has a career that spans 14 years. Paul's work includes arranging for groups like GLAD, Voices of Liberty, VoiceTrek, The Chicago based "Caroling Party" and Day of Discovery Singers. His arranging has appeared on recordings side by side with greats like Gene Puerling and David Maddux, and he has sung with Don Shelton, Bonnie Herman and Bob Bowker, among others.
