Job Description:
Okeechobee Christian Church (Church of Christ, reformation)is a Non-Denominational church seeking a minister with a passion for Christ and growth. We are a small church desiring growth in an expanding community. We are willing and able to work and stand behind a minister who is led by the Holy Spirit. We are praying and seeking God in this matter and we know that He has the right minister for our church. We have blended services with a praise band.
RESPONSIBILITES: 1. Regular preaching and teaching of God's word in services with clarity, passion and relevance, such that spiritual development of the congregation is nurtured and encouraged. 2. Effectively reaching out and causing growth in our church body. 3. Direct shepherding oversight and involvement in promoting our youth program. 4. Biblical and spiritual counseling to church members and their families.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. A Degree in Religious studies, with some classes in preaching. 2. Spirit-filled, called into the ministry by God. 3. A minister hungry for God's will, ready to work and serve according to God's plan. 4. A mature Christian with strong leadership qualities. 5. Be a self-starter and self-motivated, 6. Have a strong Bible knowledge. 7. Computer skills would be an asset. 8. English must be your primary language for speaking as well as written communication. 9. Possession of valid driver’s license. 10. Must be people oriented with strong communication and interaction skills.
LOCATION: Okeechobee is located in central Florida area, at the north end of Lake Okeechobee. It is a rural community close to major family attractions, beaches, shopping, etc.
