Job Description:
Do you want your ministry to really make a difference? Would you like the opportunity to rebuild a children and youth ministry from the ground up? Then we have a great opportunity for you, Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church is seeking a Director of Student Ministry. This is a fulltime position, with responsibility for the oversight of all ministries related to children and youth. We are looking for a candidate with 2-3 years of experience, a Bachelor’s Degree, and willingness to lead our children and youth in a dynamic, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Pleasant Retreat United Methodist is located in Tyler, Texas. Tyler is a growing community with a population of 101,106 and is approximately 90 minutes east of Dallas, Texas. We have average worship attendance of 200 in our traditional services and we are looking to grow that number with a new contemporary worship service beginning in September.
