Job Description:
We are a new church plant in the Southeast Growth Area in Fresno Ca. We are a growing church that has just become self-sustaining financially. We would be able to offer a small stipend to start, however, that will grow as the ministry and church grows. We have grown approximately 80% in the last year, from 60 average attendance to 100 each week. We are looking for an intern between the ages of 22 and 30 who is willing to "step out of the box" when it comes to reaching students (the message never changes but methods must). We have a great vision to reach unchurched young families, and that is really starting to happen. This is a great opportunity to become part of a developing ministry team. A specific, detailed job description is in the works, but the following are some expectations: A solid, demonstrable, committed relationship with Jesus Christ and to His Church. Some ministry training (college) is helpful, but heart and desire to disciple Christ followers, make disciple makers and reach the unchurched is paramount. The time committment would be about 8-10 hours/wk., not counting meetings (biweekly) with pastoral staff and Sundays. Candidates would also be required to provide background history (application), calling and vision for ministry leadership and will also be required to clear a thorough background check.
