Position Profile: Worship Arts Director

Faith: Our Worship Arts Director must be in dynamic personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He/she must be able to communicate a clear personal testimony as to their faith’s origin and history. He/she must be competent and comfortable with the Word of God, spiritually passionate, and possess a heart for both the local church and the greater kingdom of God.

Gifting: Our Worship Arts Director must be gifted musically, and be able to lead others into a deeper relationship with the Lord, especially through the vehicle of music and the arts. He/she must possess spiritual gifts consistent with the tasks outlined in the Job Description, and in harmony with the Pastoral Staff Team.

Calling: Our Worship Arts Director must sense God’s unique calling upon his/her life to vocational ministry in His Church. That calling must be substantiated by experience and reference.

Character: Our Worship Arts Director must meet the Biblical qualifications of deacon. He/she must have a proven history of humility, teachability, and a commitment to personal and professional growth. He/she must be able to teach, train, encourage and equip others in the Worship Arts Ministry.

Education and Experience: We desire that our Worship Arts Director have an academic major or minor degree in Music or the Arts and/or at least three years experience in honing the skills of a Worship Arts Director.

His arranging has appeared on recordings side by side with greats like Gene Puerling and David Maddux, and he has sung with Don Shelton, Bonnie Herman and Bob Bowker, among others.
