REQUIREMENTS: Seeking an ordained minister, Master’s Degree in religion or related area required, doctorate preferred, with demonstrated pastoral experience, preferably in a church that has experienced growth. Candidate must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to do His work. Individual should be outgoing, self-motivated, and able to interact comfortably with all age groups, including senior citizens.
DESCRIPTION: The pastor will be the spiritual leader and oversee all church related activities, including worship services, Sunday school, youth groups and Christian education activities. He or she will plan and implement an outreach program designed to encourage families to worship and participate in activities at Grace Community Church. The successful candidate will be responsible for all pastoral services including visitations, weddings, funerals and other services to all ages. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
THE CHURCH: Grace Community Church is a 250 member mainstream protestant church with an average attendance of 150 each Sunday. It has a predominantly senior membership but also offers youth programs and a Christian elementary school (K-6).
LOCATION: Grace Community Church is located in Boulder City, Nevada, a small (15,000), friendly, non-gambling community about 25 miles southeast of Las Vegas.
