Job Description:
Adult Choir Director (Part-time)
General Description: Selects and orders music for the Adult Choir, directs the Adult Choir and conducts weekly rehearsals.
Primary Responsibilities: * Preview, select and order music for the Adult Choir for each Sunday, 10:30am worship service. * Plan and prepare choir member's music for weekly practice, currently Wednesday evening from 8:00 to 9:30pm. * Direct the Adult Choir at each Sunday worship service and weekly practice. * Prepare and distribute the special music schedule for the 10:30am Sunday worship service. * Plan, prepare and present two Contatas/Musicals each year; Christmas and Easter and any additional special events/services. * Schedule cleaning of choir robes.
Additional Requirements: * Experience directing an Adult Choir. * Prepare annual music budget. * Live up to the highest standards of Christian ethics as a public representative of Paramount Baptist Church. * Take advantage of appropriate training opportunities. * Be in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message. * Be a member of Paramount Baptist Church.
