Job Description:
Grace Church is a growing evangelical church with a strong emphasis on the Bible, prayer, corporate worship and small groups. Our vision is to grow in Jesus and reach out and make disciples for him.
The mission of the Youth Pastor is to provide vision and leadership for the student ministries at Grace Church and to enlist, train and support adult volunteer youth workers and student leaders to collaborative team leadership, primarily for middle school and high school student ministries. Key goals include developing areas of ministry that win youth for Christ; building their faith; disciple the youth of our community and our church family; and developing and coordinating programs and social activities for youth. The youth pastor will participate in additional areas of ministry, depending upon interest, training and experience, such as worship leadership, preaching, and team ministry resourcing. Qualifications: We are looking for an experienced Youth Pastor/Director (minimum of 3 years with at least 2 years of vocational experience) with a creative spirit and a genuine love of people, who is mature, with a heart for Christian growth of the youth at Grace Church. An advanced degree (for example a M. Div. or M. A. in youth ministry or Christian education) is a plus. A generous compensation package, including parsonage, pension contribution, and health insurance will be provided based upon education and experience.
