Job Description:
The Director of Music, as a member of the Professional Staff, will develop a creative congregational music ministry to further the vision and goals of First United Presbyterian Church. By discovering, developing and encouraging the musical talent in the congregation as well as outside resources, the Director will be a servant leader in a church that seeks to glorify God in Jesus Christ through collaborative worship, enthusiastic service and programs that strengthen the Church's witness to the community. The individual we are looking for will possess a broad understanding of diverse styles of music and a willingness to grow. Our Director of Music will enjoy working with children.

Degree Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Music minimum

Experience Requirement: Minimum 4 years experience in church music leadership/programming; expertise in organ and/or piano accompaniment preferred

Sunday Services: 2

Other Weekly Services: 1

Occasional services per year: 6

Weekly Rehearsals: 4

Choirs & Ensembles at church: Adult=1, Children=3, Handbell=1, Praise Team=1

Choirs & Ensembles that this position will be expected to direct/accompany: Adult Choir, Children's Choirs, Handbell Choir, and supervision of the Praise Team
