The United Methodist Church of the Atonement is seeking a part-time Contemporary Worship Leader. Atonement is a church of over 350 members located in the center of the Claymont Renaissance (see www.claymontrenaissance.org). The position involves leading the 11 A. M. Sunday morning Contemporary worship service.Responsibilities: The Leader will be responsible for leading the praise band and chorus. Selecting appropriate music for praise band and chorus based on the shared vision of the senior pastor. The Leader will meet weekly with the senior pastor to acquire a shared vision of the worship experience. The Leader will direct various worship coordinators, select appropriate videos and recruit and rehearse band and chorus members. Complete job description available on request.
We desire the Contemporary Worship Leader to have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and as Lord and must regard the Bible as the Word of God and the standard for all faith and practice.
Qualified candidates will preferably have 1 to 2 years experience in leading a Contemporary Worship service. Candidate must be proficient both vocally and instrumentally. Candidate should be organized, efficient, detail oriented and have the ability to lead and work as a team player.
Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and capabilities.
This is a part-time position without benefits.

Paul's work includes arranging for groups like GLAD, Voices of Liberty, VoiceTrek, The Chicago based "Caroling Party" and Day of Discovery Singers. His arranging has appeared on recordings side by side with greats like Gene Puerling and David Maddux, and he has sung with Don Shelton, Bonnie Herman and Bob Bowker, among others.
