Job Description:
Bethel Christian Church is looking for a man to serve as Teaching Pastor to our non-denominational, elder led, evangelical, multi-cultural, multi-generational church of 400+ in the heart of San Francisco. Primary duties include:
> Seeking diligently to see where God has led our church and to prayerfully come alongside and lead as one of a team
> Working as a lead elder with our Elder Board to seek the spiritual welfare and set the direction for the church, including:
--- Sharing the developed vision with the entire church
--- Developing needed programs to enlarge our ministry outreach
> Providing capable pulpit ministry each Sunday
> Overseeing staff, including training and mentoring as needed
> Giving general oversight to the major ministries of the church
We are seeking someone who:
> Has demonstrated leadership skills in a growing and/or large church setting
> Demonstrates mature and developed character
> Has at least a theological degree (MD preferred)
> Has had at least ten years ministry experience
> Has had and desires multi-cultural ministry experience
> Has a stable, supportive, and active family life
> Is able to set a clear and positive tone of ministry
