Qualifications
One who is affirmed by the pastoral body, personnel committee, and church body as one who is qualified to serve in a pastoral leadership role at Sardis Baptist Church.
The minister must endorse and support the Membership Covenant of Sardis Baptist Church, the Pastors Covenant and the Statement of Faith as stated in the Sardis Baptist Church Constitution.Principal Function
As Church Music leader, this person is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and evaluating the ministries of the church as they relate to music and worship.
The Church Music organization, under the direction of the church elected music director or under the direction of pastoral staff, shall be the music education, training and performance organization of the church. Its tasks shall be to teach music; provide music in all scheduled church services and special events; and provide and interpret information regarding the work of the church and denomination.
The Church Music program shall have such officers and organizations as the program requires.
Specific List of Responsibilities
Implements ministry strategy as formed by the Pastoral Body.
Enlists, equips and coordinates ministry volunteers.
Coordinates choirs and accompanists.
Prepares and administers the music budget.
Plans the corporate worship times with the Pastoral Body.
Serves on the Church Council and Nominating Committee.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Pastor.

Sunday
10:30 am 12:30 pm Corporate Worship Service
5:30 pm 7:00 pm Evening Worship Service
Wednesday
6:00 pm 6:30 pm Worship planning with Pastor
6:30 pm 7:30 pm Lead music in Prayer Meeting
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm Lead Choir practice

Paul's work includes arranging for groups like GLAD, Voices of Liberty, VoiceTrek, The Chicago based "Caroling Party" and Day of Discovery Singers. His arranging has appeared on recordings side by side with greats like Gene Puerling and David Maddux, and he has sung with Don Shelton, Bonnie Herman and Bob Bowker, among others.
