Job Description:
Element3 Church is actively looking for a full time Pastor for Children and Young Families. In this position, the canidate will be responsible to lead the ministry that reaches and develops children ages birth through fifth grade and young families so that they become more and more like Christ. Working together with the children's volunteer ministry staff, they will lead, promote and oversee the purpose of our church, "To make, mature and mobilize fully devoted followers of Christ."
Specific Duties:
Provide leadership and oversight to the spiritual formation of children through Sunday’s Worship Gathering, summer camps and programs.
Cast Vision--Promote a church-wide vision of reaching and developing children to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Implement Strategy--Promote a strategy that encourages children to worship God, learn and obey His Word, participate in caring community, be ambassador Christ, and serve within the body
Provide Leadership--Oversee, support, and develop the skills of the E3Kids staff in order to accomplish the mission of forming children spiritually
Teach--Provide solid teaching of both biblical theology and social issues that directly relate to children and their families
Train and Equip--Lead the E3Kids staff in continuously identifying and raising up lay staff to serve in the ministry according to their gifts
Lead the professional staff in training and equipping the lay staff to do the work of the ministry
Provide spiritual guidance and teaching to the staff.
Plan and Organize--Develop and implement all activities related to children’s ministry (e.g., Sunday Gatherings, VBS, retreats, camps, summer programs)
Protect--Maintain and uphold all church policy statements regarding children
Evaluate--Work with the Lead Pastor to establish and evaluate the philosophy, standards and procedures for Children and Young Families Ministries.
Work with the E3 Kids ministry staff and E3 Parents Group to regularly evaluate the ministries effectiveness in forming children spiritually
